Traffic Issues - Mill Hayes Road |

 We have been attempting to get Staffordshire Moorlands District Council to find a solution to reducing unsuitable traffic and speeding in this area for a number of months.
A survey carried out by by our committee members was submitted to County Councillor Jebb in May 2009. Subsequent discussions have taken place on a number of occasions but unfortunately we have not been able to either get a reduction in the speed limit to 30mph or restriction of heavy goods vehicles.
Although highlighting the issues in Mill Hayes Road did result in the highways department improving the drainage of water by installing grids and surrounds, the District Council has not put forward any suggestions to improve the situation, unfortunately an accident awaiting to happen.
We are still awaiting the outcome of the recent National review regarding speed limits. However it has been suggested that we should explore the possibility with Councillor Jebb and David Greatbatch of the Highways Department
of having notices such as ( Children in this area Kill your speed).
